Prof. Dr C. Rex is a renowned clinical and well known Orthopaedic and Trauma surgeon heading the Orthopaedic department at Rex Ortho Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. This is a trauma and joint replacement centre with special interest in complicated trauma, infected fracture non-union and stiff elbow management. He runs surgical training courses for junior consultants in trauma and arthroplasty. To his credit he has more than 20 national and international publications, innumerous presentations and being invited faculty of many international and national conferences. He is a recipient of many best paper awards and laurels like Indo-German Orthopaedic Foundation Gold Medal, Dr Surendran Gold Medal, Dr Subramaniam Gold Medal, Johnson and Johnson prize, Allan glass Paediatric prize, etc. Dr MGR medical university, Chennai awarded the “Best Doctor Award” for his contribution to Orthopaedics. His encounters and experiences sharpened his innate talent for clinical observation and his knowledge has been transformed in the form of books which he has authored. Dr C.
